The right EV charger depends on your driving habits and car model. If you drive fewer than 40 miles daily, a Level 1 charger (120V) may suffice, adding 3-5 miles of range per hour.
For longer commutes or larger battery EVs, a Level 2 charger (240V) is ideal, providing 20-60 miles of range per hour. Level 2 chargers also reduce charging time, making them suitable if you need quicker charges overnight.
Check your car's onboard charging capacity to avoid overpaying for a charger that exceeds your vehicle’s capabilities.
